What is Love?

Why do we underrate love?

I believe love is the most powerful force in the universe.

Love is god, and God is love.

But yet, so many times, we cheapen love, devaluing it to a mere shadow of what it truly is.

We use the word to refer to

Our selfishness

Our loneliness

Our arrogance

Our insecurities.

I have often failed at love, and I have no doubts that I still have so much to learn

But I refuse to accept that I am selfish because I love. Because of love.

Let’s call a spade a spade.

Selfishness is selfishness.

Love is love.

And what is love?

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.”

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is unlimited. It is unconditional. It is all-inclusive.

It is the cure.

And so much more.
